For this project I was sent Mallard's wings through the post and from there I was free to create any form of artwork triggered by the wings I received.  I could photograph them, draw them, paint them, use them for a sculpture or installation.... the choice was mine.   These wings took me through the journey of fecundity, rebirth and reincarnation.  The blackbirds coming from a previous life are trying to re-enter an egg, a large duck egg in this case, just as past souls  journey through time to reincarnate into different bodies, different gender or different race.  The oval shape of the artwork brings a symbolic reference to the womb of creation.
